A friendly quarrel leads one Evo owner to our Essex Designed AP Racing Competition BBK
05.13.2015One of our customers sent me a nice email about his Lancer Evo BBK the other day. Apparently a little friendly competition is what led him to our Essex Designed Competition Big Brake Kit. As you can see from his comments below, they definitely gave him the competitive edge!
My name is Arwinder Tamber, and I drive a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8. I never really thought of ever being on a racetrack until a friendly discussion between my friends we had about who was really the fastest driver. Fast forward to today, it's been 2 years since we first stepped foot on a real track and haven't looked back, trash talking pushing us further and further and our lap times getting faster and faster. Along with increased speed I encountered many issues ranging from fade, pad knockback, inconsistent pedal which overall killed my confidence in the corner entry and led to less than stellar lap times with the OEM brembo calipers. I decided to get the Essex AP racing 4 pot kit, its lightweight, simple pad design, easily swapping pads at the track and well documented reviews were definitely the star points of the kit. Install was easy and straight forward and took less than an hour and the first time I was on the track I was blown away with the solid, consistent pedal feel. My confidence in the braking zones was so high that I became completely calm braking very late and still hitting my apexes. A few trackdays in I knew I had made the right choice and am in love! I am one of the few people in the world that enjoys braking over accelerating, and the AP racing kit took my braking to another level.
