Ferodo Now Offering DS2500 Brake Pads for Tesla Model 3 Performance

Tesla's Model 3 Performance is an impressive vehicle, with power in spades and enough weight to completely overwhelm the OEM brakes, especially the low-friction stock pads. The ideal solution for braking nirvana is one of our AP Racing by Essex Competition or Road Brake Kits, both of which replace the stock calipers and discs with thermally-efficient and racing-derived alternatives. However, for those not yet ready to make such an investment, Ferodo has just released their versatile DS2500 pad compound in the front and rear OEM M3P pad shapes.

Proven over many years on a litany of vehicle applications around the world, the DS2500 is commonly regarded as the best dual-purpose pad compound available. It elevates fade and heat resistance to an extremely high level for a streetable pad, while keeping noise, vibration, and harshness to a minimum. While we wouldn't recommend it as a dedicated track day pad on the M3P, it is perfect for enthusiastic street driving, autocross, and perhaps short HPDE sessions on street tires. It makes perfect sense as an initial upgrade over the inadequate stock pads to deliver greater feel, performance, and driving confidence.
