Rydquist Racing wins USTCC season-opener at Laguna on Ferodo Racing Brake Pads

Ferodo Racing DSUNO brake pads helped Carl Rydquist start a perfect season of the 2017 United States Touring Car Championship, with the GT-class and overall victory at the legendary Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. In qualifying Rydquist had showed his one-lap pace in Q1 with a pole-setting laptime of 1.34,8 which remained unchallenged in Q2. On Sunday only minutes before the start of the 40 minute race heavy rain started to fall. Rydquist's team Prototype Development Group opted for rain tires for the #4 Factory Five Racing GTM and it allowed the team to open up a major lead on the drenched track. After a couple of laps the rain went away but the cold temperatures kept the track damp and the competitors who had decided to start on slicks [dry weather tires] were not able to catch up.
