From the Back of the Pack to Second Place on the AP Radi-CAL

The 2019 race season is winding down, and our AP Racing by Essex Competition Brake Kit owners are checking in with their year-end summaries and thank you notes. This particular client has been campaigning his Z06 with our brake kits at both ends of his car. On the front is our CP9660/372mm Kit, and on the rear is our discontinued CP5040/340mm Kit. An infraction robbed him of his spoils in his final race of the year (he was one pound under regulated race weight), but his results remain impressive.

"Managed to sneak into Saturday race. Running on old tires. There were some incidents in qualifying so I didn’t get to turn a hot lap. Started from back, ended up 2nd in class....plan to campaign hard next season as timing is right career/life wise. The first outing with the new car was mostly successful. Put the car on the pole both days for the st2. Saturday I actually reset the track record by 2 seconds but I rolled across scales exactly a lb too light. Rules are rules, so it won't stand. Honest mistake. Sunday rain rolled in and I ended up spinning after pulling away from field like an idiot. No harm, no foul. Brakes were awesome, thanks so much for the help with the rear sprint kit."
