James Stewart, Recertification Expert
As with many of the Essex staffers, James has been interested in cars and racing his entire life. At the age of 16 he began working in a local automotive machine shop disassembling engines. Shortly thereafter, he built his first engine. Upon graduating High School, James received an AAS in Automotive Systems Technology from Gaston College. Wanting to further expand his knowledge, he spent a year at Cleveland Tech studying paint and body, receiving his diploma in 2006. James is currently pursuing another Associates Degree at Gaston College; this time in Business Administration with expected graduation date of May, 2010.
James is currently the brake burnishing guru at Essex. Since joining the company in May of 2007, James has prepared 10’s of thousands of rotors for race teams across the country, keeping elite level drivers happy with their trouble-free brake performance.
In his spare time, James enjoys modifying and driving his two Ford Mustangs: a 94 GT, and 98 Cobra.
